Sonic Vista Recordings was established in 2005 in Hull, East Yorkshire. Over the years it has expanded and now has its head office in the North-West.

We also have contacts around the world including Japan and Canada.

We have a simple philosophy – to seek out ‘independent music for independent thinkers’. We don’t seek to exploit artists – rather reward them. Without the music there would be no Sonic Vista and so our contracts are weighted very heavily in favour of our artists. The mainstream and indie circuits are to quote Hunter S Thompson "The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side."

Because of this inherant corruption we took the decision (in 2010) to specialise in genres whcih were more interesting and less affected by the machinations of companies interested only in profits. To that end weare now looking for progressive rock, post rock and the more interesting side of alternative music to promote in a tangible way.

We will shortly be launching an innovative digital initiative AUROVINE.com to help us work with more artists. This will launch 2nd quarter 2012.
